Transactions
| Date | Client | Description | Amount | Category | Review |
|---|
Bulk accountant tool: tick transactions (the client switcher and From/To dates narrow the list), pick the new category, and reclassify them all in one action. Each move posts a reversal plus a corrected journal entry — posted entries are never rewritten — and the batch is recorded in Activity & Audit with the per-transaction change.
Bank Import
Upload or drag in a bank export — CSV, QBO, or OFX (or paste the rows), map the columns, preview, and commit. Rows land in Transactions as Uncategorized for review, or pre-categorized when a remembered rule matches. Re-importing the same file skips duplicates; it never double-posts.
Category Profit & Loss — Cross-Check
The original category rollup of categorized transactions, kept as a cross-check. The Profit & Loss in this group is the general-ledger statement and governs; this view exists so the two can be compared line by line during the accounting-core transition.

Reconciliation
Reconcile a bank or cash account against its statement: enter the statement date and ending balance, check off the items that cleared, and finish only when the difference is exactly $0.00. Grouped bank deposits appear as the single total the statement shows. A finished reconciliation is saved server-side and can be reopened here; its items stay cleared until the reconciliation itself is voided, and the void is recorded.

Month-End Close
Period close lock
Books closed through a date refuse new or edited transactions, journal entries, invoices, bills, payments, and deposits dated on or before it — enforced on the server, not just on screen. A one-off change inside the closed period needs an explicit owner override with a reason, confirmed in the moment; the override covers that single action only, and every override and every lock change is written to the audit record.

Chart of Accounts
Every client's books run on this chart. Balances come from the general ledger. System accounts come from the standard small-business template and cannot be deleted; custom accounts can be added, deactivated, or deleted while they carry no journal activity.
Accounts
Add account
Category → account mapping
Where categorized bank transactions post. Uncategorized posts to Suspense until the transaction is categorized; changing a mapping affects new postings — posted entries are never rewritten (re-categorize a transaction to move its entry, with a reversal keeping the trail).
Journal Entry
Post a manual double-entry journal entry. The entry saves only when total debits equal total credits — an unbalanced entry cannot be posted. Categorized bank transactions post their own entries automatically (see the register below).
| Account | Debit | Credit | Memo |
|---|
Journal register
Most recent entries for the selected client, newest first. Reversals and reversed entries are flagged — a posted entry is never edited or deleted, only reversed.
Trial Balance
Every account with journal activity in the period, stated as net debit or credit balances. A correct double-entry ledger always ties: total debits equal total credits.
Balance Sheet
Assets, liabilities, and equity from the general ledger as of a date, with current (unclosed) net income folded into equity. The statement asserts its own balance check below.
Profit & Loss
Income statement from the general ledger: income and expense account rollups over journal entries. This is the primary P&L; the Category P&L (cross-check) view keeps the transaction-category rollup for comparison.
